#and suddenly a wild bit of character development appears #but really #clearly amy’s grown to an extent even if this is the first time we actually see it #because she’s gotten to a point where she actually understands how important the doctor is to her #the likelihood of early series five feeling that he’d save her is pretty slim #but i think it’s a real testament to how their relationship has actually developed that she can finally admit he helped her #it’s MATURE #she’s being a grown-up#which just makes the end of this episode all the more shocking and contrary#because the doctor treats her like a child #her faith isn’t a bad thing #it’s the reason she believes in him and the reason she can admit this now #but he’s scared of the massive trust she has in him and of how it doesn’t disappear but actually grows with time #amy has finally gotten to a point where she’d probably choose what’s wise and best for her and he doesn’t even give her the choice #so don’t try to tell me series 6 doctor isn’t douchier than usual (via stupidbloodyidiots)
